Supernanny says that children should only be put on the naughty step 1 min for every year of their age. Then you should make them apologize and hug you. Then we they immediately refuse to do what you say again, they go back on for 1 more minute of every year of their age. So, I think the sitting until you do what I say is much more efficient.
